About the Municipal Court
The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over violations of State and local ordinances that occur within the Village limits. The violations include traffic-related violations, various misdemeanors, and Village ordinances.
The Court Clerk is available to assist you with any procedures and questions concerning the municipal court, including information on the payment of fines and fees from a citation you received or from an arrest made by the Salado Police Department. Please remember that the Court Clerk cannot answer legal questions nor give you legal advice regarding what to do with your case. If you need legal advice, please consult with an attorney of your choice or seek a Public Defender.

Plea Form Information
Please return your signed and dated plea form to the court on or before your initial appearance date listed on the citation. A phone call is not an appearance.
If you plead nolo contendere (no contest) or guilty, please return your signed plea form with your payment to the court. If you plead not guilty and request a trial by jury or by judge, you will be notified by mail of your pre-trial hearing date and time.
