MoPac Traffic Jams

The MoPac Traffic Jams Band (MTJ) is an Artsy, Austin Wired, Americana / Folk-Grass Group comprised of musicians who love to play music and who are not strangers to the stage or recording studios. Collectively, we have been performing for audiences for many years in Texas and beyond. Musically comprised of harmonizing voices, a stand-up base, rhythm guitar, banjo, mandolin, and Cajon, MTJ performs both original music and well-crafted cover tunes to the likes of Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Beatles, Dan Folgelberg, Steve Fromholz, Amy Winehouse, Credence, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, The Steel Drivers/Chris Stapleton, The Allman Bros, Goo Goo Dolls, and Gillian Welch to name a few, along with an array of old upbeat traditional songs and gospel tunes we play as the spirit moves us. Venues MoPac Traffic Jams has played in Central Texas include Threadgill's pre-Covid, Barrow Brewing Company Salado, Central Market Austin, Pecan Street Brewing Co Johnson City, Brass Tap Round Rock, Green Mesquite Bar BQ Austin, and Metcalf Bar BQ Austin to name a few. We are also available to play private parties and events.
