Fiscal Year Operating Budget
The Village of Salado's annual budget development process starts in February.
The budget development process includes:
- Department heads review the adequacy of existing spending and identify immediate future spending needs
- Board of Aldermen establishing future goals and priorities for the Village
- Issuing a call for input from the general public on "wants and needs"
- Proposed spending plan is presented to Board by Mayor and Village Administrator and discussed at multiple Board meetings
- Public hearings are held, and Operating Budget is approved in mid-September
